Impressive mill with water forge.
The mill was built in 1600, and in its structure we find many functions: oven, forge, mill, joinery and deposit of wheat.
Originally it was a factory that used water to produce energy, and on the ground floor people created nails, lights, locks and jew's harps. On the first floor there are some grindstones with rock wheels that weigh more or less 150 kg. In the same building you can visit the oven for the bread, the granary and the owner's little bedroom.
The mill is not far from the community of Piana Fontana, that is elegant and rural at the same time and that is also overlooked by the bell tower. The latter is said to having being built for free by men who dedicated some time to it before going to work. In the middle of the community there is the fountain with spring water that was originally used to quench the thirst of the animals.
